Since yesterday was International Women’s Day, I would like to share this one TV ad that raises awareness of sexism in the society.
The part of this ad that grabbed my attention at first was Daniel Craig, our latest James Bond.
But what really got me in the end was the copy.
Bond’s presence suddenly became unimportant after hearing what the voiceover had to say. (The voiceover was actually the voice of Dame Judi Dench reprising her role as ‘M’.)
And mainly, the copy was just plain facts. This shows that simple plain facts can really work in advertising.
The ad is directed by acclaimed ‘Nowhere Boy’ director/conceptual artist Sam Taylor-Wood, and scripted by Jane Goldman (‘Kick Ass’).
