The 10 Commandments of Outdoor Advertising

I just found a blog post on thehangline.com on the 10 Commandments of Outdoor Advertising.

Basically, it is a list of 10 things you should keep in mind when designing and/or writing a piece of outdoor advertising, presented with humor.

I find it a useful list to keep in mind for anyone involved in the advertising industry – students, professionals, and even companies who are about to launch an outdoor advertising campaign.

Some of the rules can also be applied to other mediums of advertising as well.

    Most definitely the rules of outdoor apply to other media. A billboard will make make a good print ad 99.9% of the time. A print ad will make a good billboard about .0000001% of the time.
